April 01, 2021 - 08:36 AM
NEW ORLEANS, La., March 30, 2021 – As the nation awaits for, what hopes to be, a near end to the coronavirus pandemic, there are still many families in need of food assistance during these times.  Knowing that, G.W. Carver High School, located in eastern New Orleans, has teamed-up with Second Harvest Food Bank to provide families with food items on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.

The fist 400 families will also receive a free Carver tote bag!
The community food drive will take place on Friday, April 2, 2021, beginning at 8:00a.m. CST at G.W. Carver High School, 3059 Higgins Blvd.  Families are asked to remain in their vehicle while volunteers bring a packaged food item and partner give-aways to their vehicle.  One package of food supplies will be provided to each vehicle.  Volunteers will also be on-hand to provide traffic directions for this drive-thru event.
