May 11, 2020 - 10:49 AM

WTDN - In memory of Niyo Davinci, a member of the Flight School production team, Massive Amounts of Quality presents the weekly NIYO BEAT BATTLE. Over the course of Davinci’s career, he worked with some of the top names in the history of Louisiana Hip Hop, including Lil Wayne, Juvenile, Mystikal, B.G., Kevin Gates and Young Greatness, who himself passed away in 2018.

Only days before is death on April 13, Niyo Davinci participated in an Instagram Live beat battle with other New Orleans-based producers. The battle series has since been renamed in his honor. Massive Amounts of Quality Founder M.A.Q. said, "every beat battle will be dedicated to our brother, Super Producer NIYO! NOLA will keep your name alive!" M.A.Q said he started producing the battles to highlight the producers and DJ’s in New Orleans who don't get the praise or recognition they deserve.

This weeks challengers are producer Dividen$ and producer Cam Beemer Each week we ask the featured artists five questions. Get to know more about these NOLA creatives before their Live IG battle Saturday at 7 pm.
